The ivy on this back wall in Park End had grown up and over the top, arching across the side passage and swallowing the gateway, with brambles and other growth coming up underneath.
Everything unwanted was cut out and stripped off the wall, the brambles and vegetation cleared, and the wall cleaned down afterwards so it looks properly finished rather than just cut back. All the waste was taken away.
